The Center

The ABA For Disability Center primarily offers Applied Behavior Analysis services for Autism Spectrum Disorders and other moderate-to-severe disabilities and/or syndromes that are non-regressive in nature. Our treatments are based on ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), which is scientifically validated as an effective intervention for the Autism Spectrum and is included in the official guidelines of the Italian National Institute of Health.

Mission

The primary goal of the ABA For Disability – Center for ABA and Neuroscience is to provide access to treatments that are both effective and compliant with national guidelines.
We support families through every stage of the journey, tailoring our approach to the unique needs of every child, adolescent, and adult. Our mission is to guide individuals toward successful social and vocational integration. At the heart of our work is a deep commitment to the family unit, with a focus on all domestic relationships, while also fostering opportunities for social exchange and peer interaction.

The Neuroarchitecture Project

Designing spaces using the principles of ABA and Neuroarchitecture can increase adaptive behaviors, support learning, and promote overall psychological well-being.

Natural Light: Promotes sustained focus and reduces visual fatigue.

Relaxation Zones: Designated spaces for “cognitive breaks” serve as positive reinforcement, reducing negative behaviors and improving emotional resilience (Berman et al., 2008).

Environments for Autism and Other Disabilities: We create sensory-controlled environments that minimize overwhelming stimuli while providing appropriate sensory input to facilitate behavioral regulation and comfort (Lydon, Healy, & Grey, 2017).

Practical Implications

Learning and Professional Spaces: We design school classrooms, rehabilitation center reception areas, hospital waiting rooms, residential settings, and workspaces using positive stimuli to promote concentration, rule-following, and positive social interaction (Lydon, Healy, & Grey, 2017).

Therapy and Emotional Support Areas: The strategic use of natural elements and calming colors can reduce challenging behaviors and improve the clinical quality of therapy sessions.

ABA Integration in Architecture: Utilizing antecedent stimuli and consequences within the design of learning environments facilitates behavioral regulation (Cooper et al., 2020).

Our Team

Dr. Valeria Pascale

DIRECTOR
Psychologist, Behavior Analyst

Doctoral candidate at The Chicago School in Applied Behavior Analysis, licensed psychologist registered with the Order of Psychologists of the Campania Region, certified behavior analyst (IBA®️), and Director of ABA for Disability. She holds a Master’s degree in Behavioral and Cognitive Applied Psychology with a focus on Psychiatric Sciences and the neurobiology of impulsivity, a second-level Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis, a second-level Master’s in Clinical Neuropsychology, and a Master’s degree in Law.
She is an active member of the Professional Advisory Board of International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO), representing Italy, and serves on the editorial and peer review board of the Journal of Forensic Behavior Analysis. She is an expert in the field of OBM (Organizational Behavior Management) and is currently involved in specific research projects and experimental studies in this area.
She has extensive clinical experience in ABA-based interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as other disabilities and psychopathological conditions, across children, adolescents, and adults. She actively collaborates with public (schools, universities, health authorities) and private organizations on research projects and clinical and training programs in Applied Behavior Analysis and Neuroscience.
She teaches in national and international training courses, is the lead author of manuals and peer-reviewed scientific articles, and is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences. In 2024, she received the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) international award for the project “Behavior Analysis in Prison,” which integrates behavioral principles and organizational systems in correctional settings.

Dr. Amilcare Calbi

HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES

As administrative and accounting manager of various companies, both public and private, he has developed solid technical skills over the years. He has focused his professional interest on administrative management, and has also served as the Head of Human Resources Management, gaining much experience in the organisation, training, and evaluation of employees. Furthermore, he has acquired competency in the management of interpersonal relationships, skills classification, and administrative and managerial problem resolution.
